Lake Creek Village is a 270-unit Affordable housing community in Edwards, Colorado. To reduce water usage, the property team replaced turf around garages with river rocks and ornamental grasses on top of landscape fabric. Additionally, a drip sprinkler system was installed to replace the existing spray sprinkler system. The property team received $40,000 in rebates, reducing the total project costs from over $100,000 to $60,000. The estimated payback of the project is 2.4 years and is estimated to reduce water costs 50% going forward.
