In early April, the firm’s flagship core fund launched a program to help local communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We reached out to our food-operating tenants and inquired if they would like to partner with the Fund to provide meals to local hospitals and the front-line medical community. We received a resounding, yes! and so far have provided over 200 meals across three markets!

In Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, we worked with Graze Restaurant to provide meals for Feeding Our Heroes, an organization that partners with local restaurants to deliver daily meals to area hospitals. When the Fund reached out to Graze, they had raised enough money for 50 meals and with the Fund’s contribution, Graze doubled its number of meals to donate to the East Cooper Medical Center.

In Nashville, Tennessee, the Fund partnered with Sonobana Japanese Restaurant and Grocery and created a meal plan to be delivered over three separate occasions. The owner of Sonobana was so honored to be a part of this program he carefully crafted bento boxes and specialty to-go containers that were delivered to Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital in May.

In Raleigh, North Carolina, the Fund helped Poke Burri provide over 60 healthy poke bowls to the Duke-Raleigh Hospital which has served Wake County for over 35 years.
