Jim Ratner joined Stockbridge in 2006 and serves as Managing Director for the firm’s Platform Business (“PB”), responsible principally for portfolio and asset management activities.
Prior to joining Stockbridge, Jim served as Chief Financial Officer of American Financial Realty Trust, a publicly-traded REIT focused on properties leased to banks and other financial institutions. Jim began his career as an investment banker at Kidder, Peabody & Co., PaineWebber Incorporated and UBS AG. In this capacity, he oversaw numerous capital raising and merger and acquisition transactions for public REITs and lodging companies, and also assisted in the formation of Stockbridge’s first real estate opportunity fund.
Jim has a B.A. and B.S.E. from the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts and Sciences and Wharton School, respectively, and a J.D. and M.B.A from the University of Michigan.
